8th Grade Mission

 

In this top secret Webquest, you will be gathering real intelligence on the infamous Area 51.  You will be gathering photographic evidence from a variety of sources and creating your own visual document detailing what you have discovered about the top-secret base.

Believe it or not Area 51 is a real place. However, the public barely knows any real facts behind the legendary test grounds. Most of what they do know about the top-secret base, they've learned by watching cheap documentaries on TV and made up videos by YouTubers.

Here are tools you will need to complete your mission:

Google Search Engine
Paintshop Pro Software
Comic Life Software

You will need to create 6 images of Area 51 and place them in story format.  You will use PaintShop Pro software to crop and enhance your images then you will drop the images into the Comic Life program to create a story. 

Here are the steps to completing your document:


Step 1.  Use Google images to select the pictures that you need to use to create your document.  You can use PaintShop to create interesting effects.

Step 2. Once you've finished using PaintShop, save your images into a file on the common drive.

Step 3. Take the images you saved and begin to drop them into the Comic Life program.

Step 4.   Add letters, word balloons, and any other items you need to create your Area 51 story.

Step 5. Save your file from Comic Life into the Area 51 folder in the 8th Grade file on the Common Drive marked "Area 51 Intelligence".
